A lovely full sized slim 1/20 10 carat gold filled Cross Century II fountain pen, and I would think this was probably made in the1990s.  It is in excellent condition.  The cap has a black plastic end piece that tapers at the top in traditional Cross fashion.  The imprint is just below this black button and is very crisp.  The imprint identifies this pen as one of the more unusual Irish-made examples.  Below the imprint is the gold filled pocket clip which has a very thin tapered shaft. The cap and barrel are decorated with groups of vertical incised lines with polished panels in between.  I am not sure if this pen has ever actually been used but there is not damage at all on it; not even those very wispy scratches that you always seem to get with these pens.   Unlike many of these Cross pens, there are also no personalisations.  There is a space on the cap for an engraving of a name or initials, but this is blank.  The cap pulls off to reveal the plain, polished 18 carat gold nib, which is in a medium point.  The black resin gripping section is fluted with a wide metal band at the forward end adjacent to the nib.  The barrel will unscrew to allow the fitting of a standard Cross ink converter (not included) or you can also of course use Cross ink cartridges if you prefer.  The original stock box is also in lovely and undamaged condition.  It includes the original white card liner.  

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib feels lovely and smooth and writes with a good wet and consistent medium width line.
