BU178 Burnham Pencil

BU178 Burnham Pencil

Date: c1950s

Size: Length - 122mm.

This is a rather attractive Burnham pencil in blue and gold marbled casein with gold plated trim.   It is in excellent condition and the only damage I can see on it is a little discolouration to the point of the pencil.  There no noticeable surface scratches or other damage, and the pencil has a good glossy appearance.  The cap has a gold plated top button that holds on the Burnham imprinted pocket clip.  There is a single wide gold plated band at the top of the barrel just below where the cap ends and the barrel begins.   The cone too is gold plated.  This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cone.  I have fitted a fresh 1.1mm pencil lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go .  If you unscrew the cap you find an apparently unused pink eraser.

I have fully serviced this pencil.  It works perfectly.
