CS1165 Conway Stewart Pencil.
Date: c1970s?
Size: Length - 129mm.
An unusual late-manufacture pencil from Conway Stewart. This pencil is in the style of the No. 106, but has no model number on it, so I am not sure. It is in very good condition and undamaged save for the rather obvious plating wear to the pocket clip and point. The barrel band and cap top tassie are both good, though. The is a solid burgundy coloured pencil and quite long and slim. It is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the point. The cap has a burgundy-coloured top jewel with a long, slender pocket clip. Just below the cap is a wide gold-plated band. The cap pulls off to reveal the pertrified stump of the original pink eraser. The barrel has a lovely, clear and sharp, though rather crude imprint.
An unusual late pencil, I have fitted a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism, and it is working perfectly.
