ES385 Esterbrook JR, boxed (Medium)

A beautiful and almost pristine example of a grey and black marbled finish Esterbrook JR pen. The JR is a pocked sized pen and this one is in almost pristine condition still and presented here in its original box.   It has no damage that I was able to spot at all.  The cap has a flat top with a wide palladium plated band at the lip.  On the top of the cap is a black "button" with the Esterbrook logo imprinted in it. This pen has a very robust pocket clip with a fluted decoration which reminds me of the old Esterbrook "transitional" clips.  The barrel has a flat metal end with a band about an inch from that.  The cap inscrews to reveal the lovely medium point Esterbrook nib.  Unscrewing the barrel reveals the original ink converter.  You can also use the pen with standard International ink cartridges if you prefer.  The box still has the original and unopened cleaning cloth and the card out slipcase.  All is in lovely condition. 

I have fully serviced this pen.  It writes with a very nice wet and smooth line.
