MS910 Propelling Pencil.
MS910 Propelling Pencil.
Date: c1930s
Size: Length - 111mm.
This very attractive pencil has no makers mark, but it does resemble the Onoto pencils of the period, so it is possible that it was made by them for a third party. The barrel is made from a beautifully patterned bronze and black marbled celluloid. The top has a large black hard rubber button that holds on the gold plated pocket clip. This has a ball at the terminal. The pencil is a propel-repel model - you twist the point to extend and retract the 1.18mm lead. There is an imprint to the barrel "JOHN WOODWARD / THE ROLL MAKER / STEVENSON RD / SHEFFIELD" . The cap will unscrew, and there is room to store your spare 1.18mm leads inside the cap.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It works perfectly and is a really attractive piece.
