This is a beautiful lacquered pen with a lovely ornate cap band.  It is in excellent, almost pristine, condition with no damage on it at all.  This is a good-sized pen; not too light and not too heavy.  It has the classic cigar shape with its rounded ends.  The cap has a gold plated pocket clip with a flat terminal and a rather ornate and wide band near the lip.  This is decorated with a pattern that reminds me of the Celtic knot, and has a black infill.  The cap unscrews to reveal the black gripping section and two-tone stainless steel Italix nib.  This is marked as a broad, and is actually a broad stub point.  The section unscrews to allow the fitting of a standard International style ink converter (the pen has a Schmidt K5 converter already fitted) or a standard International sized ink cartridge (there is the original one inside the box).  Both cap and barrel are covered with a beautiful liquid gloss yellow/orange coloured lacquer.  The box is also in lovely condition.  

I have fully serviced this pen.  It writes very well, producing a very nice, wet and consistent line.  The stub nib will provide for some excellent line width variation from a fine to a generous broad width.
