MS930 Salz Brothers Propelling Pencil.

Size: Length - 118mm.

This very attractive pencil was made by Salz Brothers in America in the 1930s.  It is made from a beautifully patterned green marbled celluloid.  The pencil is in very good condition - the only damage on it is the plating wear which consistes of the upper cap band, the point, and the high points of the pocket clip.  Most of the plating has worn, but the pencil looks good and works perfectly still.  The pencil is a propel-repel model - you twist the point to extend and retract the 1.18mm lead.  There is an imprint to the side of the cap "ELVIN CARUTHERS" which is probably the name of the original owner.  And what a name!  The cap will unscrew, and there is room to store your spare 1.18mm leads inside the cap. There are already several spares in here.  

I have fully serviced this pencil.  It works perfectly and is a really attractive piece.
