PA3729 Parker Minibille Silver Plated Millerais Ballpoint
PA3729 Parker Minibille Silver Plated Millerais Ballpoint
Date: c1970s
Size: Length - 123mm.
A very unusual Parker Lady Minibille ballpoint pen, made in the mid-1970s. It is unudsual in being a clipless ballpoint. This one is not in the best condition, mainly due to a previous owner fitting an accommodation clip to the pen, which has caused scratches to the upper barrel. I have taken close-up photos of the pen below, which clearly show the surface scratching. This is a most uncommon pen - actually the first I have had in nearly 25 years of selling vintage pens. It has a black topped push-button that is used to extend and retract the refill. Below this is a polished collar that bears the imprint "PARKER" and "FRANCE". A black band separated this from the barrel, which has the "Millerais" or "Thousand Lines" decoration of very fine vertical incised lines running the length of the barrel. The collar unscrews for access to the refill. These pens take a standard Parker/G2 refill. The original refill is still fitted to the pen and it still works perfectly. These pens were made for just a few years between 1975 and 1981.
I have fully serviced this pen. It works perfectly.
A rather uncommon pen.
