This lovely glossy dark green Duofold set is in excellent condition.  Both pieces are free from cracks, chips and splits.  They have a beautiful glossy sheen and there are not even any noticeable surface scratches.  This is an example of the Mk. V Parker Victory from the early 1950s with the Parker arrow pocket clips and the rolled gold "Deco" engraved cap lip bands.  The caps have a green top "jewel".  All the trim is bright and shiny.  

Fountain Pen

The barrel imprint is quite shallow as most of these tend to be, and this one if difficult to read too.  The 14-carat yellow gold Parker No. 10 nib is undamaged and in a fine point. The aerometric filler is accessed by unscrewing the barrel.  It is also undamaged with the original pliglass ink sac which shows the usual internal ink staining.  The sac guard is chrome plated.  It is nice and shiny and shows none of the usual discolouration.

Pencil

The pencil with this set is the slightly larger Duofold pencil that was supplied with the Duofold and Victory pens before the slightly smaller No. 3 pencil took over.  Like the pen, it is in excellent condition with no damage that I could spot.  I have installed a fresh 0.9mm lead into the mechanism, so it is all ready to go.  The cap pulls off to reveal the original pink eraser, which looks hardly used.  There is another imprint on the pencil which includes the date code for 1953.

Box

This is a rather unusual box, which is actually printed on the top of the lid "PARKER VICTORY" - it is the first one of these I have seen.  It is in very nice condition with some small edge and corner scuffs.  Inside, it has a satin pad which shows some brown age marking, and the "PARKER VICTORY" imprint is reprised inside the lid.  Also in the box is the original instruction sheet.  

I have fully serviced this set.  The fountain pen writes very smoothly and produces a wet and consistent fine width line.  The nib is soft - I would say semi-flexible - and will provide for some attractive line width variation from a fine to a broad as you write.  

The pencil works perfectly.
