A rather early sterling silver Fougere pattern Sonnet that is in excellent, and as far as I can see, undamaged condition.  All the gold plating on the trim is lovely and bright and shows no wear.  The delicate chasing on the sterling silver barrel and cap is beautifully done and remains crisp.  The cap has a black top "jewel" with the gold plated arrow pocket clip and tassie.  Around the cap lip is a very wide gold plated band that bears the pen's imprint "PARKER/SONNET/FRANCE L" - the "L" being the date code for 1993.  There is a small black disc inset into the end of the barrel.  The finger grip is black with a narrow gold plated band at the either end.  The nib is made from 18ct gold and is in a fine point.  The gripping section unscrews from the barrel to allow you to fit either a standard Parker ink cartridge or a standard Parker ink converter (not included).

This is, and was, a very up-market Sonnet indeed!  Probably the pinnacle of the range, and a very early example at that!
