This is a rather pretty looking deep blue coloured Parker 17 pencil.  I really don't see many of these pencils around for some reason - it is much easier to find their matching fountain pens.  This example is in excellent condition with no damage that I have been able to find - it has lovely glossy appearance and no noticeable scratches or other damage.  The cap has a blue conical-ended top button that holds on the rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip.  Near the cap lip is a rolled gold band.  The cap pulls off to reveal the stub of the original pink eraser in its little metal cup.  There is a space below this for storing spare 0.9mm leads.  The glossy barrel has a rolled gold point.  There is a clear imprint at the top of the barrel "PARKER 17 / MADE IN ENGLAND".  This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap.  I have fitted a fresh 0.9mm lead into the pencil, and it is working perfectly.
