PA3851 Parker 45 Flighter (Soft Broad)

This lovely Flighter is still in very good condition.  With a loupe, I have found some minor scratches in the brushed steel surface, but these are not readily apparent.  It is a late 1960s/early 1970s model Parker 45 with the elongated chrome plated barrel end.  It has a chromed Parker arrow pocket clip and chromed clutch ring.  The section is in glossy, unmarked black plastic.  The 14ct gold nib is in a broad point and is also completely undamaged, with a generous blob of iridium at the tip.  The barrel unscrews to allow filling of the pen.  It may be used with either a standard Parker ink cartridge or filled from a bottle using a standard Parker ink converter (not included).  

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib is very smooth in action and writes with a lovely wet and broad width line.  Unusually for these pens, the nib does have a little bit of softness and will even manage some understated but nonetheless attractive line width variation as you write.
