This Pelikan M101N Limited Edition pen is in old-stock condition.  It has been sitting in its box for its entire life, save for me photographing it and dipping the nib to get a writing sample.  It is still in pristine and totally undamaged condition.  This pen is a re-imagining of a 1930s design with its high-domed cap.  There is an imprint at the base of the cap top part, just above the rhodium-plated pocket clip.  Around the cap lip are two narrow bands.  The barrel is beautifully marbled in shades of blue with a large translucent "window" at the nib end.  You can use this to see the amount of ink you still have left in the pen.  At the back of the barrel is the blind cap that you twist to operate the piston filling mechanism.  The rhodium-plated nib is made from 14 carat gold and is in a fine point. The limited edition box is also in lovely condition.  Inside, there is a bottle of ink, a soft white leatherette pouch to protect the pen, and the original instruction sheet.  The lid has a vintage Pelikan imprint on it, and the outer slipcase is still here as well to protect everything inside  

I have just dipped the nib to get the writing sample below. It is a very smooth writing nib and produces an excellent wet line with a typically wide Pelikan writing width.  I would say that this nib is more like a medium than a fine, and it also has a little softness to it.
