This is a really beautiful Sheaffer set.  The pens have an Imperial-style gold-plated pocket clip with the Sheaffer white dot at the top.  The caps and the barrels are gold-plated and have that lovely, almost flame-like Chevron pattern incised into the surface.  The cap lips are polished and bear the "SHEAFFER" imprint.  Both pieces are in excellent condition, and I really can't find any damage on either one. 

Fountain Pen

The black plastic section looks to be unmarked with no visible scratching or other damage.  The nib is semi-hooded and stamped as 14ct gold.  It is completely undamaged and in a medium point.  This is a cartridge/converter filler and can be used with the original Sheaffer squeeze-bar ink converter that is already fitted to the pen, or standard Sheaffer ink cartridges. 

Ballpoint

This retractable ballpoint worked by pressing the top and bottom of the pocket clip.  It is a "reminder" style clip in that you can't hook it onto your pocket unless the writing point is retracted.  The pen is fitted with its original Sheaffer refill in blue, and it is still working fine - it will accept the standard Sheaffer "K" refills as well.  The point is also gold plated.

I have fully serviced this set.  The nib is very smooth and writes with a medium-width, wet and consistent line.

A really nice and rather uncommon Lady Sheaffer pen set.
