SH1940 Sheaffer Statesman Snorkel (Fine)

A beautiful glossy pastel blue Statesman Snorkel.   Both barrel and cap are in very good condition. They are both glossy in appearance with just some very minor surface wear that I have trouble seeing without magnification.  The cap has the Sheaffer white dot above the tapered gold filled pocket clip.  There is also a wide gold filled cap lip band.  There is no brassing or other damage to either clip or band.   As this is a Snorkel pen, twisting the barrel end blind cap extends the filling tube, and pulling the blind cap away from the barrel exposes the plunger.  All the internal mechanism is also in excellent condition.  The ribbed finger grip is in shiny black plastic.  The lovely big Triumph nib is in a fine point and made from Palladium Silver alloy. It too is in excellent condition.

I have fully serviced this pen.  I did just dip the nib to get the writing sample below.  The nib is very smooth and writes with a lovely wet and consistent fine swidth line.  Like most Snorkel nibs, it is a firm writer.
