A very unusual Lady Sheaffer pen in a beautiful Paisley-patterned gold decoration on a black lacquer ground.  This pen is in astonishingly good condition with no wear to the lacquer or any other damage that I was able to spot.  The Lady Sheaffer pens were made from the late 1950s through to the mid-1960s.  This is probably an earlier one as the nib has the earlier "SHEAFFER'S" imprint.  Both cap and barrel are metal based and covered in the beautiful gold lacquer decoration.  The cap is clipless, and was designed that way.  The barrel unscrews for filling, and you can use either a standard Sheaffer ink cartridge or a standard Sheaffer ink converter (not included).  The palladium silver nib  (it is not actually marked as gold, but these nine were all palladium silver) is in the Triumph style and in a medium point. 

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib writes very smoothly.  It lays down a good wet and consistent medium width line.

A great find and very unusual in this good condition.
