WE564 Wahl-Eversharp Gold Filled and Hard Rubber Pencil.

A beautiful Canadian-made and unusually chunky woodgrain ebonite pencil with gold-filled trim that is in good condition.  This is a very unusual and good-looking pencil, notwithstanding the small amount of damage on it, which is limited to some plating wear to the point and on the high points of the crown, and a small ding to the side of the crown.  The barrel is made from a lovely mottled red and black hard rubber.  The top knob is twisted to extend the lead - it is a propel-only pencil.  There is a clear imprint around the rear of the crown.  Also fitted to the large crown is a spade-ended pocket clip.   The point is gold filled, and the very end is made from steel.  Apart from its large size, the most unusual feature of this pencil is that it uses VS or 1.5mm leads.  Although these leads are no longer easily available, this pencil already has a lead loaded into the mechanism, and a spare in the barrel.  

I have fully serviced this pencil.  It is a propel-only pencil.   It works perfectly.
