YA088 Yard-O-Led Aristocrat Rolled Gold Pencil.

YA088 Yard-O-Led Aristocrat Rolled Gold Pencil.

Date: c1950s

Size: Length - 124mm.

This beautiful Yard O Led propelling pencil is in very good condition.  I can see some plating wear to the crown and a tiny bit to the gripping point, but the pencil still looks the business and works perfectly.   The barrel has a machine engraved pattern in the barelycorn design.  The top knob turns to extend and retract the 1.18mm lead.  The very attractive pocket clip is also rolled gold and tapers from the top - it has "YARD-O-LED" imprinted down the stem.  The propel-repel action works nice and smoothly.  This pencil has the following professionall engraved within the barrel cartouche: "R. Ward VAC.AC 1940-1955", so it is likely to have been a company presentation piece. This does affect the value of the pencil, and so I have priced it very much to sell.

I have fully serviced this pencil.  It works perfectly.
