A very pretty little Dinkie made from a beautiful burgundy and black marbled casein.  Casein is a form of plastic made from milk proteins.  This pen is in excellent condition, and I can actually find no damage on it at all.  Unusually, all the gold plated trim is in top condition with no wear apparent.  The cap and barrel have a very good original gloss with no noticeable scratches or other imperfections.  The cap has a small conical gold plated top button that holds on the gold plated pocket clip that has the "CS" monogram within a diamond at the top and another diamond at the bottom.  There is a fairly narrow gold plated cap band below the pocket clip.  The barrel imprint is crisp and deep and easily read.  The cute little filling lever has the "CS" monogram imprinted in the circular end tab.  The nib is shiny and totally undamaged, made from 14 carat gold,  and has a medium point.  The original box is also in lovely condition with the original instruction slip inside.  

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib writes very smoothly with a very nice wet line with consistent ink flow.  It is a soft nib and will provide for some rather attractive line width variation from a fine to a good generous medium width with very ittle effort.  

In all, a beautiful pen in excellent condition!
