A probably unused Lamy Safari in the slightly textured matte black Umbra finish.  There is no damage at all on this pen, and besides me dipping the nib to get the writing sample, it looks as if it may never have been used.  This pen has a good, large size, but is not a heavy pen.  The cap has a very robust thick wire pocket clip, which is chrome plated.  It pulls off.  The gripping section is well shaped to afford a very secure grip.  Between the barrel and the gripping section is the original brown board rind which prevents the cartridge from being pierced when you screw on the barrel.  This is removed before use. The barrel has a little slot in it so you can see if you still have ink in the cartridge (or converter) you are using.  This pen will use a standard Lamy ink cartridge (there is the original cartridge already in the barrel), or a Lamy Z25 ink converter (not included).  The steel nib is in a medium point.
