A rather unusual and really quite early Conway Stewart pencil in a lovely green, blue and gold marbled casein.  This pencil is in very good condition - there is some minor overall surface wear, and the casein barrel has the typical very fine surface scratching that you very often get with the older casein items.  It does, however, remain a very attractive pencil.  It has a hexagonal black flared crown that you twist to extend and retract the 1.18mm lead.  The crown holds on the plain chrome plated pocket clip.  This has a ball-shaped terminal.  The barrel has a single imprint, which is just a list of patent numbers.  The black cone is separated from the barrel by a gold plated band, and the point is also gold plated.  

I have fully restored this pencil.  It is a propel-repel pencil and it works very smoothly by rotating the black crown.  I have installed a fresh 1.18mm lead.
