This is a rather nice old stock Lamy Al-Star in the Special Edtion colour for 2024, which was called Lilac and is a striking metallic purply pink blue.  There is no damage at all on this pen, and besides me dipping the nib to get the writing sample, it has never been used.  It still has the white product label attached to the back of the cap and the card spacer between the finger grip and the barrel which prevents the ink cartridge inside from being pierced. This pen is made from anodised aluminium.  It has a good, large size, but is not a heavy pen.  The cap has a very robust thick wire pocket clip that has a black colour to match the nib.  It pulls off.  The gripping section is well shaped to afford a very secure grip.  The barrel has a little slot in it so you can see if you still have ink in the cartridge (or converter) you are using.  Thie pen will use a standard Lamy ink cartridge (the original cartridge is still inside the pen), or a Lamy Z25 ink converter (not included).  The steel nib is in a medium point.

I have fully serviced this pen.  It writes with a lovely smooth and wet medium width line.
