MS908 "The Castell" Clutch Pencil

A very nice full-sized celluloid pencil in a lovely burgundy marbled colour. I am guessing that it would have been made around the late 1940s or early 1950s. It is in excellent condition with no damage on it at all that I can see. It is an extend only clutch-type pencil that works by pressing down on the cap. It has a white metal pocket clip and chrome plated point. It would have originally been designed for the VS or 1.5mm leads, which is very unusual for a pencil of this age. Usually, VS leads were used in Victorian and Edwardian pencils. These leads are no longer generally available. Luckily, the pencil will also work with 1.4mm leads, which are still available from Faber-Castell. I don't know whether the name of the pencil "The Castell" has anything to do with the German company.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It is working perfectly.
