This Slimfold set in glossy green and is in excellent condition.  The only damage I can see on either piece is some plating wear to the ballpoint tip.  This is not readily apparent, though.  Barrels and caps are in lustrous and scratch-free green resin.  There are no cracks, splits or chips in either pen.  This is the early model Slimfold with the rolled gold cap bands decorated with the "deco" pattern.    

Fountain Pen

The arrow clip and cap lip band are both free from brassing.  The plastic of both barrel and cap is scratch-free.  The imprint on the barrel is lovely and clear and it even retains some of its original gold infill.  The nib is a lovely shiny 14 carat yellow gold Parker No. 5 in medium point.  Opening the pen up, the aerometric filler is shiny and undamaged.  The original pliglass ink sac is still perfectly serviceable and shows only the usual internal ink staining. 

Ballpoint

The cap and barrel have no scratching and exhibit a lovely "as new" lustre.    Still evident on the barrel is the original imprint, which is clear and complete.  The retracting mechanism works faultlessly by pressing down on the top of the cap.  This is an earlier model ballpoint with the metal barrel threads.  It is fitted with a modern Parker refill that still works well.  

Box

The original criss-cross pattern box is not in the best condition, with some scribbling to the top of the lid and a split corner, but inside it is nice and clean with its grey satin pad. 

I have fully serviced this set.  During testing, the pen wrote beautifully.  The nib is very smooth and writes with a wet and consistent medium width line.  The ballpoint works perfectly.

Green is by far the most uncommon colour in the Slimfold
