PA3827 Parker Duofold Pencil.

Size: Length - 126mm.

A full-sized glossy India Black Duofold pencil that would have been paired with a Senior or Maxima sized Aerometric Duofold.  This is the large size pencil, about 1/4 inch longer than the more common No. 3 pencil.  It has all rolled gold trim, and a black cap and barrel.  It is in very good condition with the only damage that I can see being some very light surface wear that is unnoticeable without magnification.  There is a very nice, crisp, and complete imprint on the barrel - "PARKER DUOFOLD / 2 / MADE IN ENGLAND". The cap is topped with a conical black top jewel, which holds on the Parker arrow rolled gold pocket clip.  Below, at the cap lip, is a single "deco" engraved band.  This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap.  The cap also pulls off to show the stub of the original pink eraser.  This rather early example takes 1.18mm leads - later pencils were made to accept the thinner 0.9mm leads, and there are a couple of spares beneath the eraser.  I have fitted a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism, so the pencil is all ready to go.

I have fully serviced this pencil.  It works very smoothly.
