PA3828 Parker Duofold No. 3 Pencil

The No. 3 Pencil was the model that was paired with the whole of the Duofold line throughout the 1950s and 1960s.  Although ubiquitous it is unusual to find one on its own, and in excellent condition as this one is.  It has all rolled gold trim with no plating wear or other damage that I was able to spot, and the barrel and cap are burgundy in colour.  It has a very good original gloss and no noticeable scratches or other blemishes.  The cap has a conical burgundy top "jewel" surrounded by the rolled gold tassie, and attached to that, the Parker arrow pocket clip.  Below the clip near the cap's lip is a rolled gold band with the usual "Deco" style diagonal line engraving.  The cone is also rolled gold. This is a propel-repel pencil and works by twisting the cap.  The cap will also pull off to reveal a partly used but original pink eraser.  I have fitted a fresh 0.9 mm lead into the mechanism, so it is all ready to go.  

I have fully serviced this pencil.  It works perfectly.
