A very nice glossy black Parker 51.  I have looked over this pen very carefully and it is in good condition.  There are no splits, cracks, chips or noticeable scratching to barrel or hood.  The cap does have a couple of small, shallow dings, and the usual wear to the frosting, with a little plating wear to the pocket clip too.  Whilst this pen would not make Concours condition, it would make a great everyday writer with its sweet broad nib.   The grey top jewel is clear with no chips or cracks, and the chrome-plated Parker arrow pocket clip is also undamaged and bright.    The lucite barrel and hood are still glossy.  The lovely 14-carat gold hooded nib is undamaged and is in a broad point.  Unscrewing the barrel, the Aerometric filler is one of the unusual chrome plated ones, but this has lost some of the chrome plating over the years.  The original pliglass ink sac is still fitted and is still in perfectly serviceable condition.

I have fully serviced this pen. Like most '51s the nib is a delight, being very smooth.  It writes with a consistent broad width, wet line.
