A beautiful stainless steel Sonnet pen in excellent condition.  This is a very recent example of the "flighter" finish with gold plated trim.  These are available with a choice of stainless steel or 18 carat gold nibs, and this one has the latter.  It is a lovely nib too, with some softness to it.  The only thing I would mention on this pen is some minor wear to the gold plating on the band adjacent to the nib.  This is very common with these pens, as the humidity inside the cap tends to degrade the plating.  The cap has a gold plated tassie with a gold plated "jewel" in the centre.  The gold plated pocket clip has the trademark "feathered" shoulder and arrow point terminal.  The wide cap band has two incised decorative hoops.  The mprint on the wide cap lip band states "PARKER",  "IIIT" with the Parker halo and arrow mmark before the Parker name. The barrel has a rounded end and unscrews to allow the fitting of a standard Parker ink cartridge, or if you prefer, you can use the original Parker ink converter, which is already fitted to the pen.  The gripping section is slightly flared at the front for a good, solid grip, and it has a very nicely decorated solig 18 carat gold nib in a fine point.

I have fully serviced this pen.  It writes with a very nice wet and consistent fine width line.  It is a nice soft, springy nib and a pleasure to write with.
