A medium sized M400 in excellent condition. This pen looks like it has probably been used once or twice, but it remains in lovely, undamaged condition. The M400 is the gold-trimmed version. The cap has the famous Pelikan logo at the end etched into gold into the gold plated top "jewel", and with a gold plated pelican beak pocket clip and twin gold plated cap bands. The wider band at the lip bears the pen's imprint. The blind cap at the end of the barrel is twisted to operate the piston filling mechanism. The nicely sized nib is made from 14ct solid gold. It is a two-tone nib in a fine point. The original box is also in excellent condition, with the white leatherette pen pouch and the original instruction booklet.
The nib feels very smooth when writing, and has a lovely consistent fine with line.
