A very pretty Burnham No. B45 made from a lovely blue and grey marbled casein with black veining.  Most attractive and yet still subdued.  The pen is in excellent condition - even the gold plating seems to be mostly still intact with just a little plating wear to the cap band.  The cap has a black top button that holds on the tapered Burnham pocket clip.  There is a single wide-ish gold plated cap band.  The straight filling lever is also gold plated.  The nib is the original Burnham B45 nib - this, too, is gold plated and very unusually it shows no wear.  It is in a medium point, and like many of these gold plated steel nibs it has a stubby point.

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib is very smooth in action and writes very well with a medium width line.  As the point is quite stubby it will give you some very attractive and quite subtle line width variation as you write.  

A very attractive full sized pen in great condition.
