MS932 Mr Pen Italix Churchman's Prescriptor, boxed (Medium Stub)

Date: c2000s

Size: Length - 143mm capped; 168mm posted.

This is a beautiful lacquered pen with extensive gold plated trim.  It is in excellent condition, with no damage noted at all.  This is a good-sized pen; not too light and not too heavy.  It has the classic flat-top shape of the 1920s about it.  Both cap and barrel are covered in a lovely glossy black lacquer.  The cap has a large and impressive gold plated top button with the tapering gold plated pocket clip below.  at the cap lip is a girdle-like band which bears the imprint "Italix".  This band continued onto the barrel which has a gold plated end piece so shaped to accept the cap  for a good firm posting.  The large nib is made from stainless steel and in a medium stub point.  The barrel unscrews to reveal a Schmidt K5 ink converter and there is the original International-sized ink cartridge in the box.   The box is also in lovely condition.

I have fully serviced this pen.  It writes very well, producing a very nice, wet and consistent line.  The stub nib provides for some very attractive line width variation from a medium to a broad.
